About this condition

Cutaneous chromomycosis is a chronic fungal skin infection that creates slow-growing, warty, cauliflower-like nodules, usually on the legs or feet. It occurs in tropical regions when fungal spores enter through minor skin injuries, commonly in agricultural workers and people walking barefoot. Treatment requires prolonged antifungal therapy and sometimes surgery.
