About this condition
Systemic bartonellosis is a serious bacterial infection transmitted by sandflies that affects multiple body systems. It causes high fever, severe anemia, and enlargement of the liver and spleen, and can later produce skin nodules. Though rare in India, it requires immediate medical attention and antibiotic treatment to prevent life-threatening complications.
